Now Spinning: Velvet Corners, The Marlette Union
Bardstown Road, Louisville

Used vinyl, honest prices, free opinions.

We are a small shop with deep crates. Every record is cleaned, play-graded by a human who actually listened to it, and priced like we want you to come back. Ask us anything. We will absolutely tell you if the pressing you are holding is the bad one.

Dig the Crates

Twelve picks from this week's grading bench. Filter by genre, then click any record to flip it over and read the back. Grades are conservative. If we say VG+, it plays better than you expect.

Crate is empty right now. Check back after Tuesday's buy.

    Try before you buy

    The Listening Bar

Four stations along the front window, each with a tuned-up vintage deck, decent headphones, and a stool that has heard some things. Grab anything from the bins and give it a spin. No purchase required, no hovering staff, no judgment for playing the same side twice.

    Station 01

    The Daily Driver

A workhorse direct drive deck with a fresh stylus every month. This is where most first dates with a record happen.

    Station 02

    The Warm One

Belt drive, tube preamp, headphones with worn-in pads. Soul and jazz sound like they were pressed yesterday over here.

    Station 03

    The Loud One

Set up for rock and anything with drums that matter. Isolation headphones so you can push the volume without sharing.

    Station 04

    The Grading Bench

Same rig we grade on. If you want to hear exactly what a VG+ surface sounds like before you commit, ask for bench time.

    Second Thursdays

    Swap Night

Once a month we push the center bins against the wall, put a crate on every table, and let Louisville trade with Louisville. Bring what you are done with, leave with what someone else was done with. The math usually works out.

    Next Swap Night

    Thursday, August 13

6:30 to 9:30 PM, in the shop

Free to attend. Table space is first come, first served, and the coffee urn from Highland Perk shows up around 7. If it is your first time, tell the front counter and we will walk you through how trades get valued.

    • Grade your own records honestly before you bring them. If a trade partner disputes a grade, the bench at Station 04 is the referee.
    • Trades are between traders. The shop takes no cut and sets no prices, but we will give a free opinion on any deal if asked. You will get one either way.
    • One crate per person on the tables to start. Rotate in more from your car once something moves.
    • No sealed reissues passed off as originals. Check the deadwax, or ask us and we will check it with you.
    • Be cool. Everyone here remembers being fifteen and buying their first warped record. Help the new folks out.
    Turn shelves back into money

    Sell Us Your Records

We buy every day the shop is open, from a single grail to a basement full of milk crates. Here is exactly how it works, because nobody likes a mystery offer.

Bring them in, or we come to you

Walk-ins welcome any open hour. For collections over about 300 records, call the shop and we will schedule a house visit anywhere within an hour of Louisville. Estates and downsizing moves are a specialty, and we are patient with them.

We grade in front of you

No back room disappearing act. We check surfaces, sleeves, and pressings at the counter, explain what is driving the number, and flag anything worth more than you thought. That last part happens more than you would guess.

    Cash or trade, your call

Take cash on the spot, or take trade credit at a healthier rate and go straight back into the crates. Credit never expires and it is tracked under your name, not a coupon you will lose in a junk drawer.

Not sure it is worth the trip? Text a photo of the spines to (502) 555-0177 and we will give you a straight answer.
